Tulips, revisited

After a few weeks of frustrating but intriguing attempts at capturing the tissue-thin delicacy of the tulip, the form seeming to collapse under the weight of detailed brushstrokes, I decided to try fields of color instead. Thank you to The Farmer's Only Daughter for the inspirational photo! Hooray!  I am so pleased with the simplicity of this little painting.
